We only get to visit this area about once a year and it's always straight here for bread to go and a fresh Cuban sandwich! This year's visit did not disappoint...great sandwich and cup of coffee con leche. Yummy!

I have never had a Cuban sandwich or Cuban pastries, I am glad I stumbled upon this bakery. I enjoyed my experience thoroughly. I tried the meatball sub, a classic Cuban sandwich, a guava cheese and a apple turnover during my visit. Each item was delicious and fresh. The employees were friendly and the store was clean. Only downside was lack of seating, but we just enjoyed eating in the car with windows down. 10/10!

I had a layover in Tampa and decided to grab a bite outside of the airport to kill time. I am so glad I decided to try this place because the sandwich was one of the best Cubanos I've tried. The bread was nice and thin and I love how there wasn't too much bread for the amount of meat there was. The lechon was flavorful and extremely tender. The ham was sweet and succulent. I got the 9" and it was the perfect amount to keep me full all day. It took a little while to get my food but there were a ton of people so I was not annoyed in any way. All the workers were lovely and kind. The inside is a bit small and there are no seats, so definitely take it home or do what I did and walk over to a park to enjoy your sandwich!

Delicious, Authentic & fresh Cuban sandwiches. La Segunda is on point!! I enjoyed the iced cafe con leche and it was so good. The patrinostro sandwich was perfection. The bread was toasted and the meats were plentiful. Also had to try the classic media niche and it was amazing. It was Saturday morning and busy but fast service.

OMG TASTY Cubano! Our group searched for the best Cuban sandwiches in the area and we all came to La Segunda. The line to order was short, we did wait about 15-20 minutes for our sandwiches. Wish they had some tables outside to enjoy them on a beautiful day! One large sandwich was enough to feed 2 of us - it is PACKED with meat and flavor.

Amazing Cuban sandwiches on fresh, delicious bread! I tried the firebird, with hot chicken and all the trimmings - tasty and filling. This is a bakery/sandwich shop - no tables or seats; to-go only. I walked thru the heart of the Ybor District to Centennial Park for a picnic among the wandering flicks of chickens (which made me feel guilty for eating my sandwich). Friendly service, great selection of sandwiches and desserts. Highest recommendation!!

Great historic spot. My son had a grilled cheese (on that famous Cuban bread) with fruit cup and my husband and I got a Cuban sandwich. Coming from south Florida I am always a tad skeptical of anyone boasts a good Cuban but they were worthy of the praise. I wasn't expecting the salami but it was a nice touch. Overall, a solid sandwich. The spot itself has no seating and no public restrooms. It's an order and eat in your car or take to go kinda spot. Staff friendly.

This little Cuban café and bakery was a delightful find! With over a hundred years of history, it's a true gem in Tampa. We started with a guava cheese pastry--huge, flaky, and bursting with flavor. It was the perfect sweet treat after our traditional Cuban sandwich. The sandwich itself was everything you'd hope for: a perfectly thin, crispy layer of bread, generous portions of meat, and that ideal mix of mayo, mustard, and pickles. Every bite hit all the right notes for a classic Cuban. We also tried the beef and cheese empanada. At first, I hesitated at the $5 price tag for a small empanada, but after one bite, it was clear it was worth every penny. It was generously stuffed with flavorful picadillo, seasoned ground beef with onions and peppers, giving it a surprising and delicious spicy kick at the end. Overall, the flavors were outstanding. This is definitely a place worth revisiting--an authentic Cuban bakery you'll want to return to again and again!
